nothing deep today, just a few thoughts about apprentice

I was watching the apprentice the other day, and yes, Lee is a politician. My friends told me, and now I finally agree.

The task was selling Outback Steak House meat at a Rutger's University football game. It seemed like Gold Rush would whoop Synergy. They had the cheerleaders, the people, the activities... But they didn't sell.

What did Synergy do right? They catered to individual customers. The secret to selling products is not to mass market and pass out piles of papers, but to sell to individuals. Customers like individual attention, and are more likely to buy if given it. A person pressuring the customer is infinitely more effective than the best ad or bilboard.

The second secret was obvious: Sell in bulk. Lee was trying to do it for most events, but this time, when he was the project manager, he didn't. Thats where he erred.

Beauty and the Beast

According to the words of Richard Feynman, "The imagination of nature is greater than the imagination of man." In these posts, I will talk about what I have seen, what I have read, and what it means to me.

It seems that everything falls around the same time... AP exams, the county track meet, plays. Last Friday, I went to see Beauty and the Beast. My English teacher's a dancing plate, and she offered 10 points of extra credit. So I figured, I can sleep for the show, and I'm basically buying points. Why not? Well, I came to a realization during the show. When I was 5 years old and saw the video for the firs

The Beast is more than just a fictitious character who angers the gods; his experiences are shared by all of us, particularly myself. The goddess gives him a rose to track how long he has to find love, but most of us arent even given that. But the time still keeps ticking. As a human, we only have a limited amount of time, maybe 20 years, to find the right someone and get married.

As time passes, the clock gets a thumbscrew in his back, and the candlstick looks less human. As time passes, I get older and uglier. But I only have a limited amount of time to find the perfect someone. If I don't, I will, like the goddess promised, get older, and uglier.
